Spring Skirt How-to, ThreadBanger Projects

I'm a student at Bauder College and when I take my sweet time to use the seam ripper my professors suggest I just use their snips to cut the seams and then rip it the rest of the way. They say time is money, because they used to work in factories and stuff. I guess since he didn't have any deadlines he didn't have to worry about time. LMBO!

I did smile and shake my head as he said that you could "cut away" material to change the size...uhmmm...I will be ADDING sleeves to make mine.  
I already have some shirts ready for cutting and sewing and I hope to post my creation in the forum.

What a great idea. I am in the process of buying my first serger and another sewing machine. I think that this will be a great project to start off with.

Not all that follow Threadbanger are young and/or petite.  Although there are a kazillion wonderful offerings on your site, I find few clothing ideas that are appropriate for me.

Hey, great idea to make a skirt.
Could you make a tutorial about changing the sizes of clothes you bought? I'm always too small for the pants I'm buying. Making them short is sometimes annoying, because some elements, like bottons or drawstring casings...

That was awesome!  I love the skirt and will be trying this out.  I might add a little fabric to the inside of area where the cuffs of the shirt sleeves open and have buttons.  Then I could have pockets on the sides and not have to worry about my underwear showing.  :)
