Weekly DIY Roundup: Recipe Organization!

In the Summer months I find myself cooking and baking more than usual - the fresh fruits and veggies paired with the extra sunlight perhaps. I am not at all organized with my recipes, and now that I'm using them more I'm wanting to get them in order, so I've rounded up some great recipe cards, boxes to hold them, and recipe book ideas! Starting with Crafting a Green World's brown paper bag recipe cards - smart!
There are tons of free downloadable recipe card templates out there - TipNut has a roundup of their favorites. I was happy to discover OceanofAwesome's Retro Recipe Cards on craftster, with free pdfs for a total of 16 different card designs!

And then cawfeehowse on craftster designed Retro Recipe Dividers to go with the cards!

Anna Maria Horner has a how-to for this recipe card holder, as well as a downloadable card pdf:

I love the idea of making a recipe card box from an LP sleeve, like KarenLouiseM's on craftster:

Licalee on craftster turned an ugly old recipe box into a cool vintagey one by covering it with thrift store cook book images:

I'm always looking at photos in reuse stores and wondering if there's a way I could use them, so I love askaboutrpickles' idea of reusing photos as recipe cards, writing the recipes on the backs, then storing them in a photo album!

I really like Gentle Quiet's drink recipe ring book, printed with stamps, but you could make the same kind of thing by printing cards off the computer.

And lastly, I also love the idea of handmaking a really great blank recipe book, then filling it with recipes as you find ones you love, like craftster user cassette's hand-bound recipe book:

This was more of an inspiration roundup than a project roundup, so I hope I inspired you to get crafty in your kitchen! Happy summer cooking!
