I remember seeing a tutorial for a men's shirt dress that used the shoulder part of the shirts, and just used another shirt to make the skirt, but I can't find it! Does anyone know?

Corinne I need some help for a project I have. I live in the caribean so we dont have winter as you do. Im planning to travel to new jersey these holidays so Im going to need a coat and the kind of coats like are to expensive so Im plannig to make my own coat. i already have a patttern (http://www.voguepatterns.com/item/V8465.htm?search=coat&page=all) and I'm planning to buy these fabric(http://www.fashionfabricsclub.com/catalog_itemdetail.aspx?ItmID=CCC564) but I dont know if its the right fabric and what kind of fabric to use for the inside. can you help please

- Hello, I noticed your post, take a look at your page for the Vogue pattern - is says that plaids/patterns would not be suitable for this pattern. The fabric type is fine however. I'm from the colder part of the US and you may want a pattern for a coat that comes closer to the neck - it is cold and windy in the winter here! Otherwise you will also need a warm, wide neck scarf too. Have a wonderful visit to N. Jersey and happy holiday to you!

- I agree that the other coat will keep you warmer. It would also be easier to sew. A solid or tweed would also be easier to sew with. It is going to be a real pain to try to match up the plaid at all the seams. You can use the linings at (http://www.fashionfabricsclub.com/search/search.aspx?source=searchbox&keywords=acetate+lining) to line the coat. You can use the Thermolam at (http://www.fashionfabricsclub.com/search/search.aspx?source=searchbox&keywords=interlining) for interlining.
