I wanna' make one of those Punk Rock Tye Dye tshirts!

  • mamasita wrote on April 13, 11:28 pm

that rocks! punk rock tye-dye looks way easier than regular ol' hippie tye-dye.
BTW- my daughter and I both made the tanktops and we love them! She even used the cut off top from the t-shirt and wears it as a shrug over her other tank tops. Thanks!

Emma here from youtube! *cut the sleeves off!* lol thanks guys! lol I should have been more clear I don't want to just cut the sleeves off i want to make some straps or something. And yea I saw that show about putting an old tshirt logo onto a different top but I'm being fussy! I really don't want to do that. Yea yea I know I'm being awkward! Thanks for your help!

impure temptress- i was thinking you can turn your shirt into a tote or purse. you would be able to use both sides of the print on each side of the bag. it wouldn't be a shirt anymore but a new useful bag. if you are interested, i'll find some easy tote patterns for you.

  • AttackedByCats wrote on April 14, 3:43 pm

    Oh, no! Not YouTube!

  • ImpureTemptress wrote on April 14, 7:53 pm

ahahaaaa... I caught the gang sign at the end... and everyone wonders where I get the scissors peace sign from..hee-hee I love it..
Oh. and about the temptress thing...I can relate... I HAD a little skater brother...now he's taller.. but..w/e..add in fabric.. it's a brown shirt.. so me.. personally.. would add in black...like everything else.. do it ..or maybe that's a bit difficult.. eh. whatever...

I am so psyched to make a punk tye dye shirt, it looks so easy!!! You've really inspired me to try and make my own stuff...love you guys! -Steve C

I noticed that Krylon spray was used on the punk rock tshirt. Is that the regular Krylon or car spray Krylon paint? Or does it matter?
    Thanx

  • pixieapproved wrote on April 18, 12:50 pm

Ive personally never used the Krylon for cars.
I just pick up the regular stuff at Ace Hardware.
Flat,or Ultra Flat is the best. Good luck !
