Hello, I just found this website and of coarse it rocked my world! I am crazy about sewing and creating. I feel that self expression is one of the most important things in life. Unfortunately it may not be so easy for most of us out there to express ourselves with the clothes that corporations provide us with. So I encourage everyone to support small businesses, boutiques, and creating your own style any way possible. HELP. im patching up a pair of pants with a huge rip from the upper thigh to the bottom of the belt loop part for my brother and i realized i only know how to do funky, bold, really feminin patches. i doubt he'd want a bright pink heart across his butt, so for his sake please help.

grainlines... is the way the fabric is weaved so it is along with the selvedge... the selvedge is the edge of the fabirc that is tightly woven. i think that is a better explanation...no?

horayyyy, I LOVE IT! I used a burda style pj pattern this summer and they turned out so CUTE! i'm so exited! im going over to the Burda Style website right now!!!!

I'm sorry I'm using this space to rant, but I have to. Why are men so ignored in DIY? That sewing pattern tutorial would've been useful if any I could use any of the patterns on burda style. From the looks of it, everything in the compai books is for women, and the same goes for most other DIY books. This is starting to piss me off. I love DIY but I can't use most of what I find online.

great episode. i luv burda i had been hesitate of printing off a pattern because i didn't know how they were suppose to fit tog. know that i know how to read the pattern i think i will try one.
