How to Make a Stipple Tee, Jared Gold Fashion Show, Darning Foot, Thread Heads

I was wondering why do you have to change the foot on the sewing machine? Can you still do this if you dont change the foot?

I saw a cockroach on another movie. They had jewels on them such as diamonds and rubies worth alot of money. Love the shirt. It's defenitely a cool way to make a T fir better.

Hi! I've known and loved threadbanger since the very beginning, and this episode is awesome! I was wondering, how to sew a patch on the sleeve of a hoodie or something else with heavy fabric with my machine. I handsewed for 5 years before I got my first machine, so I can just handsew the patch but machine sewing is so much faster. How do I maneuver my hoodie so that  the machine sews on the patch on the arm but not sew the sleeves shut?

It's a version of Mozart's Alla Turca, popularly known as the Turkish Rondo. I don't know who did this version/remix.

Very cool Stippling.  i wonder what it would do on other kinds of fabrics like silk or denim.  It would look cool right down the middle of a shirt, and maybe in neon colors.

Wowie zowie! I love the roaches! I want one now! I dunno if this was the best best episode, but it was amazing! getting to see a real fashion show and learn a new To Do for the t-shirts is definitely hitting the top of my list. Keep up the good work!

It sort of irks me how a guy can take all this stuff mainstream and get credited as being "genius" when women have been doing this stuff for years.  It's like when guys cook, they get gourmet chef status, whatever...

anyway, I suppose it's nice seeing more guys doing stuff like this, spreading the good word.  The cockroach schtick?  well, someone was going to do it eventually.

Rant aside, the fashion looked pretty good.  Same stuff I've been seeing out on the street being DIY'd since late 70s.  Good job, Gold.   I did enjoy the masks on the backs of heads.

Definitely love the stipple shirt - going to have to try that one out if I can figure out the darning feature.  In my internet travels in search of DIY shoemakers (I'm always on the lookout for them too), I found something interesting.  Patagonia actually put out a shoe called DIY that you put together yourself.  I totally love the concept.  There's a video here - http://www.thecleanestline.com/2007/03/diy_wtf.html.

I'm not really a knitter (yet), but I've seen a magazine (and I can't remember which one, sorry) with tutorials on knitting shoes.  That's probably the closest I've seen.

Ah, something I forgot. Now that you've done something with shirts that are too big, can you develop things for clothes that have shrunk? My clothes always shrink and it's ridiculously irritating.

I also didn't like that we were zoomed up on the models' hair and makeup. Yes, it's amazing, but... I wanted the clothes he made. The fact that you devoted part of the "pre-show show" to makeup application and hair styling was enough

To get an even more pronounced scrunching use elastic thread in the bobbin. You have to wind it onto the bobbin by hand, very important, then sew as usual. Straight lines of this is how they do the pregathered material sold for sundresses. You can make your own in any fabric you want. Also, stippling is not supposed to cross over itself, but I wont tell.

I really like the fashion inspired clothing that was demonstrated on this threadbangers episode. It had a today take on a French style artwork 

That was kind of weird about decorating a cock roach, but it did look pretty awesome.

Cool tee shirt puckering lesson but I want to point out that you shouldn't have to take the presser-foot off of you're going to unscrew the stem piece too! that just makes for one more thing to loose. can't you just take them off together?

Has anyone else seen the commercial where the girls boyfriend knits like crazy and her friend is is hating on him until she shows off this awesome knit bikini/bra? I'd love to see a tutorial on how to make that. With a layer of matching fabric sewn underneath you could make a killer bikini for the summer.

I'm new to threadbangers and I have to say you guys never cease to inspire me. I really enjoyed the fashion show. His style is just incredible.

Seeing as how its a pretty hot summer I'd like to see some more tips on how to stay cool. I've already cut slits into a bunch of t-shirts and it's doing the trick. But, a few more tips would be awesome.

I really enjoied this fashion show, this style is just my sort of thing. I say more designers in the spotlight! I love hearing about different kinds of style and the inspiration behind it all-also the designer tutorials!

you could do a segment on japanese street fashion
they make a lot of their own clothes and customize pretty much everything
some of the things they wear are a little out there but i think that is what makes it so awesome
but even if you don't plan on doing anything on it you should most def look it up anyway because i bet you could get some inspiration from lots of it

Good episode, but the editing of the fashion show didn't showcase the pieces terribly well. Too much fast forwarding and choppiness, there was hardly a chance to look at the detail in the overall outfit.

oh and this is my last post on this i promise but i have A TON of scraps and i want to make like a dress with them but i dont want it to look tacky and i dont really know where to begin? thanks!

 i really want one of those cocarocahes more than anything. I love the episodes where you guysgive tutorils on how to create things... or other people do. either way, i find it more stimulating to create rather than to watch.

That fashoin show looked awesome! I love the shirt idea too, it'll go on my to do list once i have/find a T shirt to use. Just in time too, I bought a sewing machinge at a garage sale for six bucks (and it works perfectly)!

i wish you guys have NEW episode EVERYDAY! this is awesome.

I love the animal masks on the models.  It was, in my opinion, the best aspect of the show.

Also, I REALLY LOVE the shirt.  It is more than fabulous.

Just to comfort you all before everyone starts freakin out about the roaches...the glue they use is fruit based and the cockroaches are saved from a breeder that uses them for animal feed. Plus People like Kelly give roaches like Taco a good home.

Wow, that darning foot tip is awesome. I love the fact that it looks so intricate in the end, but looks so easy to do. Plus, even if you mess up the pattern, it will still look really cool!

WOW! That fashion show was amazing. Wonderful editing! I loved the song that was playing during it.

I really loved the fashion show and the tutorial, will do it... but this is not my favorite show... I love all the shows and it would be hard to pick a favorite. 

I guess an idea would be to do some shoe stuff. I dont think there has been a show yet on shoes.
