Dig Some Senior Street Style

Move over Mary-Kate and Ashley! Advanced Style is a blog devoted to showcasing street fashion from the silver-haired and fabulous set.
The young can only teach us so much about fashion. Senior citizens, on the other hand, have been through every trend the first, second, and third times around and can show us a few things about maintaining a classic look.

Ari Cohen started the blog in September 2008 and wrote:
I have always looked to street fashion for inspiration and since moving to New York four months ago I noticed how awesome so many of New York's older men and women styled. My main goal is to capture examples of "Advanced Style" from the sophisticated and well dressed to the accidentally stylish and colorful folks out on the town.
Common themes seen on the blog include hats (with special love for the fedora!), furs, and oversized glasses. Each item contribues to a great look!
Stay ahead of the style pack with granny chic instead of cribbing style from the Olson twins like every other wannabe fashionista! I have a burnt orange leather trench coat with a fur collar that I got from my grandma's closet that I need to start rocking. How about you?
