Worn Out: Street Style Picks
Hey guys! I present to you, as always, my top 5 favorite pics from the last few weeks of street style blogging. Be sure to leave your thoughts in the comments section - including what street style or other fashion sites you're feeling these days. Here we go:

I like these first two outfits for the way their wearers managed to take a look I normally associate with another season - prepster in the Fall and nautical in the Summer, respectively - and make it totally winter-appropriate. At left (from a December 15 post at Alta Mira NYC), the chunky weight of the sweater and the dark, evergreen hue of the denim winterizes a look we've been seeing since early October; at right (from a December 19 post at Street Peeper), her sweet polka-dot leggings, heavy lace-up boots, and prim dress make for a perfect cold-weather interpretation of pin-up nautical. It's almost a little gothic, no?

These next two photos (the left from a December 14 post at Face Hunter; the right from a December 12 post at Garance Dore) were just such a great mix of COMPLETELY KOOKY and TOTALLY GROUNDED that I couldn't resist them. The funny vintage cape at left is played up with the pom-pommed hat but kept down to earth by the solid boots and neutral, thigh high socks. And while the trimmed, electric blue coat at right runs dangerously close to over-the-top, those ripped tights and beaten up Chuck Taylors keep things from becoming too impractical. They're both fun looks.
