When we still owned our screenprinting business, we dealt almost exclusively with American Apparel.  AA recycles its fabric scraps and boxes, offers its employees a fair wage, performs all aspects of production and marketing under one roof (thereby reducing the ol' footprint).  While their organic line hardly weakens the knees, the rest of their designs are fresh, simple and a bit quirky.  Not too bad for a gigantor of a clothing company.  (PS: AA makes awesome clothes for printing!)

Also, check out greenknickers.org.  They build lingerie from old formal dresses and organic fabrics.  Maybe some inspiration for a future episode?

I think Ecoist is the best green company for handbags. Being green is the new way of life to many, not a trend!

Green fashion is NOT about being cool, it about caring for the planet and its not a trend, its a lifestyle!

to me it seems like these pretty ladies care only to be green because it's trendy, that's annoying.

my favorite ecofriendly products are LUSH.com... amazing and they smell great!

Pure & Natural Soap is 99% organic ingredients and the wrapper container is embedded with Baby's Breath seeds so you can plant it and have beautiful little flowers in couple of months.  Suave makes a pretty good hairspray in a pump container and holds your hair style very well.  Works just as good as aerosol hairspray.

The Body Shop has always been green--before green was cool. Their products are great and the retail clerks are very helpful.
