Before any awards show begins, you can usually see me transfixed in front of the television watching the red carpet arrivals.  While I love intricate or funky gowns, I'm always drawn to dresses that I can wear to something other than a special occasion.  The dress that stood out for me at last night's Grammy Awards was Fantasia.  Several sewing patterns look very similar to her style:  Simplicity 2922, 3799, and Butterick 5177.  Pair this up with an elegant brocade and you'll have a knock off that looks like you belong on the red carpet yourself.  By the way, who wore your favorite look?
