High Fashion DIYs
I've stumbled upon some pretty amazing, HIGH FASHION DIYs over the last couple of weeks and thought I'd share - enjoy, and make sure to leave any runway-worthy DIY links YOU'VE found in the comments section!

Susie Bubble's "Trickle-Happy" Bootie DIY is an easy, inventive way to amp up your Winter kicks for the Spring transition - and it's SO EASY. All it takes are some shoes in need of transformation (she used booties - but how cute would this be on a pair of heels, flats, or even sneakers?) and a bottle of brightly-colored nail polish. There's lots of room for personalization on this one, so feel free to go to town with multiple colors or designs galore.
Earlier this week, one of my favorite fashion blogs, Refinery29's The Pipeline, pointed its readers in the direction of London's The Guardian and its five LEGIT high-fashion DIYs from the likes of Vivienne Westwood, Jade Jagger, Paul Smith, Alice Temperley, and Martin Margiela. Difficulty levels range from the absurdly easy (Jade Jagger's ribbon-and-safety pin charm bracelet) to the extremely difficult (Alice Temperley's dress pattern, which they didn't even attempt to include; instead, 500 copies are available to so-inclined readers). My favorite of the bunch is Paul Smith's guide to "customising" (so British!) an old shirt to his line's standards. It's a bit challenging, yes, but so worth the effort. Plus, the guys are often sorely underrepresented in the online DIY arena so it's nice that not only were they thrown a bone on this one, but an exceptionally stylish one at that.
