Project Threadbanger - Short Challenge Due Tomorrow!

Hey all! Sorry for the absense of a blog last Thurs, I was impatiently pacing in a hospital waiting room for about 13 hours awaiting the birth of my niece! She is the most gorgeous baby ever, and I've been tangled up in family stuff for most of the week!
Addie Marie rocked the January Challenge solo, knocking out a gorgeous dress, turning this:

Into this!
She said, "This dress was from the late sixties, early seventies-ish, I think. I cut off the bodice, and the only part I ended up using from that were the elastic-ruched panels at the bust area. Then I took the skirt, measured and cut it to the length I wanted the new skirt, and used the rest of the skirt to make the cross-over bodice, the built-in belt, and the back. I used elastic thread to ruche the center back panel, and sewed in the two panels from the old bodice. There are knife pleats in the front of the skirt, and it's gathered slightly in back.
She's the default winner for January, but don't think that makes her accompliment any less beautiful.
Just a quick reminder:
