Williamsburg Fashion Weekend

We don't really dig covering the shows at Bryant Park. A.) It's hard to get in and B.) It's not really our scene. Don't get me wrong, there are designers there that are very inspiring and have amazing shows but I feel like everyone and their sister covers those events and pretty much says the same things about them. I like seeing what desingers predict will be the coming trends, but I like dictating my own style. If I don't make it myself, I buy it second hand. I will probably never be able to afford what big name designers sell and if I could afford it, I would want to make sure it was made in a sustainable way. Hence why we love Williamsburg Fashion Weekend. It's so unique and vibrant. Most of the lines are small because they are hand sewn by the desinger and the shows are filled with interesting elements...not just a stick thin model walking down a runway wearing clothes sewn by someone the desinger has probably never met.
We had great time and I got to wear my new cloak which is always a plus.

I would love to see more of these types of shows all over the country. You don't have to be in the NYC or Brooklyn for that matter to make an amazing event happen. xoxo c
