How to Turn an Oversized Tee into a Graphic Letter Dress

Since 80's styling is back again - to stay for at least awhile - what I'm all about is the big, slouchy, oversized tee worn as a dress.
Drawing inspiration from the Sex in the City movie of last year, I made my own - with the help of a little extra fabric sewn onto the bottom to create a gathered shape, and some professional-grade heat-transfer vinyl sheets. It was incredibly easy to do and produced great results - and if you're working with a bigger tee you could definitely do without the banded bottom. The vinyl Thermoflex sheets are cuttable to any shape you may so desire and fun to work with; check out this post here on my blog Chic Steals for some tips and tricks when using this material. (Believe me, it works sooooo much better than the iron-on t-shirt transfers sold at craft stores - once you try the this stuff, you'll never go back.)
Read the full tutorial on making your own supersize lettered shirt here at Chicsteals.blogspot.com, and check out Spot98's Rockit Letters if you'd rather buy the letter transfers already-made. Happy ironing!
