Indie Craft Experience, Atlanta: Apply until April 17th!

You won’t find any macramé wall hangings at the Indie Craft Experience in Atlanta, Georgia. It's not your grandma's craft fair - ICE is known for attracting hip vendors that feature goods and garments with an ironic playfulness. At ICE you'll come upon vintage fabrics, re-purposed into chic, new designs, or graphics with with a twist, like punked-out skulls, superheroes and robots. Like Threadbanger, ICE is all about making a needle and thread rock again. Did it ever before now? Perhaps, but co-founders Christy Petterson, Shanon Mulkey and Susan Voelker went a step further, admiting that crafts aren't the only things on display. ICE interacts with all of your senses: workshops, vegan baked goods and a clothing swap top off the event - not to mention live music.
This is one summer festival you won't find at a big chain department store. And there's more good news! ICE is still accepting applications. Submit yours online before April 17th, 2009. Choosen vendors will be notified April 22nd. Enjoy it two days: May 30th and 31st!
