we recently had a live chat about tbguild, and we actually started talking aout the show and how there should be a couple more viewer takeover shows (with different people!)

i noticed that you have been rating the difficulty of the projects...could you make a section that you can just choose the difficulty  and it will take you to the video/project?

Now that I think about it, if the intro and outro are less scripted and more free-wheeling, I think that would correct the "less DIY-feeling" complaint that I've seen more often lately. I think Rob and Corinne are naturally really funny together, and sometimes the bloopers wind up being much funnier than what's used.

However, skits like the now legendary "dad with a crossbow" lead-in to the corsage tute absolutely work.  

I also think a "Shameless Plug!!!" graphic should be used every time Janome is mentioned, but I don't know if the sponsor would go for that. ;-) Hee. 

I think that a simple formula of Funny intro, more serious tutorial (sometimes with a quip), then the outro thanking the participants in that week's eppy, along with what's coming up the next episode, with bloopers during credits would work really well. 

The funny intro could just be random banter - it wouldn't have to be a full-scale sketch every week. I know sketches are time-consuming, and I think it would keep the sketch even more special. The "bunny ears" sketch was really charming and sweet, even though it wasn't ha-ha funny, so I think it personally ranks up there as one of the best ThreadBanger sketches as well.

I've watched this one a few times though.

You guys were so full of energy, well still are.
But it's funny to look back at where you started.

Meanwhile, I like how the show has evolved over the years.  But more day to day fashions tutorials than special event stuff (ie bunny ears for Easter, or a corsage for prom) is needed.Keep up the great work!

Guys, I really like the show. I don't think it's losing its edge or anything--it's simply evolving. I like the more in-depth projects, and ever since the interview where we sent in questions for you, it seems like you've been putting together the perfect mix of new & old.

I agree with what others have said about preferring the improvisation over the obviously scripted material. & I second Hippie's idea for a live broadcast!!

I agree a lot with what people are saying.  I loved the random, improv-y, home-grown sort of show that you guys used to have.  

Now that its all in a set, with so many people involved, it's getting a little bland.  Although once in a while, I'll see something that interests me, and I'll make it, but I mainly watch the show for entertainment value, since I require more concrete directions than the ones you normally give. (No offense meant, its just the way I "roll.")  But this show is losing its edge, that's for sure.

I completely agree with everything "the angry hippie" said too.

I have to confess i started watching threadbanger since the very beginning
i think its great, i think that for 2009 and 2010 giving some time to plan for a future , threadbanger needs to expand, i mean america is from canada to brazil... 
and you guys should see how crafty is people in central and south america..its amazing ..ive been in several countries and im in love with all of them coz they are unique...every crafter and artisan in those countries work from what they have at the moment, they recycle as well using things probably others will think is trash.
Soon its going to be the national crafters and artisans fair here in panama , i hope i can take some pictures and some videos to show you some nice things.

I am another one of those that was inspired to get off my ass and do something original because of yall. I used to revamp and up-cycle all my own stuff in high school, but getting old and married made me think I had to be "adult". This show reminded me that being an adult doesn't mean I'm no longer allowed to be creative and original. Thanks a bundle. 

I have to admit that at first, I watched this show mainly for the entertainment value-- as a post-college crafter who's been sewing her own clothes for years (and has to try and look quasi-professional, even though my field is artsy), there wasn't a whole lot in the early shows that I could actually use for my own wardrobe. That being said, I think the show's really matured over the past couple of years-- in a good way. I like how you now feature a wider range of projects in a wider range of difficulties. I love the emphasis on reconstruction and recycling. And I also love that you're branching into things more like drafting patterns and other more difficult techniques. I've found some of the interviews really inspiring as well-- particularly the one with the Wicked costume designer. It was a real treat to see such amazing creations up close and all of the detail that went into them! Keep up the good work!

dagnit internet stold my first post So yea i was watchingg the hoodie episode the other day it was great the lady was smoking a cigg and cursing bleep free it was fantastic.

Or remember when you first interviewed Meg and she spoke like a normal person not a martha robot i liked that.

I think you guys have been doing a wonderful job lately putting the silly fun back into the shows with the cute sketches. 
I think we'd all like to see more of you guys even if it's not a tutorial like remember when u used to go through the neet DIY stuff u came across online or read the comments people left.

Also you guys should think about doing a live broadcast!

Really guys I love everything on the sight! I've seen all of the videos and at first you gave basic tutorials on what to do when your starting out so it worked. Now I love were everything is going with the different interviews, spotlights, and ideas because it shows what more possibilities a person has with this new found talent. I bought a sewing machine because of you guys! Keep whatever it is that your doing cause it's so fantastic. Although I do miss the traveling, it seems like you've been sticking to NY. Maybe there should be more "ThreadBanger Ambassadors"?

I've never seen this episode, it was funny and I love your hair Corinne, it was so cute! 

And I do think that "Threadbanger" sounds just a little better than "Thread Heads" since that's more of a name for us than a show. 

And yay for still going strong!

I love you guys then and today, it's all good to me as long as you guys are still yourself. I like more of the improvised dialogue, sometimes I can tell when something is scripted, which is kind of impersonal. 
I love the little random tidbits, like the ones at the end of this episode you showed here. Maybe not puppets per se, but I love the little funny clip you guys do!
Other than that, keep doing what you're doing cos you guys rock! My week literally revolves around threadbanger, every day I count how many more days till the next epsiode!!
