How are you celebrating Bike Week? DIY for Cyclists!
Here are a few Bike-week related projects that may fit your road-huggin' fancy!
Bike Contrails? The rainbow-colored road, above, is perhaps the only kind of "green" contrail out there (although the source of the chalk is up in the air). A bike contrail makes following safe bike routes easier, and also allows bikers to leave a mark, literally, on the community. There's also a way to leave your rubber boots behind with the Bikebrella, below! This creative biker created a device that protects rider and gears from the hazards of a downpour.
How about a way to plant-as-you-ride with a seed-spewing bubble recipe from BLOOM! The idea is that the bicycle will leave it's own version of seedling "exhaust" via clean, vegetable oil-based bubbles that will take root in cracks in the pavement.
