Knitta, Please: Guerilla Knitting in Brooklyn
Montague Street, the main strip in Brooklyn Heights, is showcasing a DIY knitting installation this month led by Knitta, Please crafter and founder Magda Sayeg. Over 50 volunteers knit cozies around parking meters, essentially "yarn bombing" the block to make a statement about the DIY movement. Threadbanger's Rob Czar joined the event, which launched mid-May and can be seen through the summer. Stay tuned for an episode featuring the knitting raid and if you're in the lovely area of Brooklyn Heights make sure you get a picture with the knit-out metal!
