The paramilitary/marching band jacket for streetwear has been around off and on since the 60's, if not earlier. MJ didn't invent it: he simply stigmatized it.

- Dudes, i think this look was sported by Napoleon and the like. i bet we'd see it in portraits of old generals, military, royalty back in the day. Thank goodness for rich monarchs employing opulent fashion back in the day for us all to enjoy now!
