Addicted to Chapstick
I am a chapstick alcoholic. Or, I guess you could say, a chapstickoholic but the point is I have a problem. I tried going to meetings, joining support groups, and reading self-help books but none of it works. I'm addicted to lip balm. I've run out of restaurants because I've forgotten my lip balm in the car. I have stains on my jeans from leaving it in my pocket and then running them through the dryer. I can't count on both hands and feet how many chapstick, lip gloss, lip balm or any other alternatives I own. I have friends pick up specials brands only sold in Europe when they travel and I stock up on fifty packs at Cosco. It's getting expensive and I can't break the habit so I think it's about time I just started making my own.
I found this awesome website called Not Martha that teaches you how to do anything and everything: poach an egg, make a shoe rack, make party crackers, and knit just about any article of clothing. The great thing about this site is that it's not so over-packed that you have no idea where to start. It's really easy to understand and has a ton of awesome projects. Just go to the "How to make Stuff" page and pick one that you fancy and get started. And once I get some ylang ylang essential oil and beeswax, I will be up to the wazoo in lip balm and thus the happiest human being alive. No longer will I be a slave to the lip balm and chapstick corporations of the world!!!
