this is freaking awesome i stopped using hairspary when i was 13 and i stopped using deoderant (lemon works so much better) because they damage the ozone and im glad i can use cosmetics yay

Careful with the lemon hairspray, lemon juice + sunlight will slightly lighten your hair over time! Here's an easier hairspray: take some regular granulated sugar, and boil some water. Add a few tsp of the sugar to the water (more will make a stronger hold, and this stuff can get some SERIOUS HOLD). Mix well and refrigerate. And no, I have never attracted bees or flies with this ;) But if it rains, you're outta luck. Or, buy some flaxseeds at your local health foods store and boil them in water. Then strain them out and refrigerate the liquid. Again, more flaxseeds will create a stronger hold. This makes more of a liquid-y gel. Best darn natural deodorant, only thing natural that works for me: http://angrychicken.typepad.com/angry_chicken/2008/07/homemade-deodor.html You can use any kind of body butter, it doesn't have to be shea and cocoa. I like coconut oil because it's light and smells yummy, and shea has a rather strong nutty smell. Just don't use that deodorant on wet pitts cause it kinda burns >

The best thing I have ever used to get eye makeup off is castor oil. I wet my face with warm warm water and smear the oil all over my face.. if I am wearing mascara, I really concentrate on my eyelashes and eyes. Then I wet a washcloth with hot/warm water and let it sit on my face for a bit. The warmth REALLY helps the castor oily goodness for your skin. Then rewet with warm water and start to wipe it all off. It's a gooey oil, but it really does wipe off all eye makeup and is actually good for your skin! :)

Excellent! The only thing I'd never use is the hairspray. If there's even a slight chance that there's a bee or fly anywhere around - not good.

toothpaste- nontoxic and works great! 3 T.baking soda 1/2 t salt 5-8 drops essential oil like peppermint mix and put in a tin. dip brush in and go!

Simple acid fruit peel. Skin and deseed a tomato and smear the pulp it over your face for 5-10 mins. Add a splash of milk to the pulped tomato. Honey or a mashed banana make a simple and excellent face mask. Use seperately or together or even with some oats added.

Here's an easy recipe I use...2 tbsp of almond meal, 2 tbsp of kaolin clay, 4-5 tbsp on strong herb infusion (use what you like, thyme is good for blackheads, rosemary is good for spotty skin and sensitive skin, parsley and mint are stimulating, lavender is good for sensitive skin) Mix in a bowl until you have a nice consistency, head for the shower, cleanse as you normally would then grab a handful of this clay mix and start gently massaging away the dirt and old skin. This is amazing for sensitive skin as the almond is slightly moisturizing and the clay helps to carry away a lot of toxins. Any excess mix can be used on the hands and elbows too! Rinse, tone as usual. I am sure you will notice a difference using this scrub. For dry skin try toning with apple cider vinegar, rinse after 10 minutes then moisturize as normal...the pectins in the vinegar help to break up the 'glue' that holds dead skin cells together.
