Worn Out: Street Style Picks
Hey guys!
Here they are my top 5, all-out favorite street style pictures from the last two weeks of street style blog uploads. Be sure to leave love and all disagreements in the comments section below...

I liked these first two for their original spins on menswear. The left photo is from an August 19 post at Pike/Pine, and while I've worn variations of this exact outfit dozens of times, I've never managed to make it look quite so polished. The tucked-in shirt and ladylike accessories transform the casual combination of Western and denim into something totally put-together. The gent on the right, from an August 17 posting at Hel-Looks, is dapper as all get-out. This is clearly a man concerned with details - from the top of his fitted-but-masculine trench coat to the tips of what are possibly the classiest casual shoes I've ever seen, this guy just exudes personal style. Extra kudos for the vintage camera carrier and the houndstooth man bag...

From an August 16 post at Hel-Looks, the look at left is all about clashing rock and roll accessories with the inherent sweetness of the nightie-like dress. The leather jacket and harcore shoes are brilliant foils for lace and ruffles, and the tights are unexpected in both color and design. Such a smart little look! The outfit on the right, from an August 22 post at Stockholm Street Style, is definitely an easier mix of aesthetics. It's so on trend that it isn't even funny - distressed boyfriend jeans, blazer, lots of leather - but I think the beauty of this being in style is that no matter who wears it, it seems like their own. I firmly believe that there's something about wearing pieces that look like you possibly could have slept in that will personalize anything.

My favorite look this time around comes from an August 18 post at Iceland's Reykjavik Looks. I love it for its parts at well as its whole; the cognac and burgundy leather accessories are aces with the rest of the color scheme, the vest-over-dress is spot on for Fall 08, and the white tights and bowler hat sign off on the British cool of the entire thing. The final product lies somewhere between Flight Attendant, Circus Ringleader, and Lady Magician - and that's just so bonkers that IT CAN'T NOT WORK. Agreed??
