Knit & Crochet Show, Part 2: Crochet
Now for the crochet element of The Knit & Crochet Show here in Portland, OR. There was not nearly as much crochet as there was knitting, but I saw a few very cool things.
My favorite booth with crochet stuff (although there was a ton of knit stuff here as well) was Stitch Diva Studios. I am a sucker for interesting hats, and I loved the hats I spotted in this booth! They also carry crazy huge handcrafted tunisian hooks, which would be used mostly for afghans/blankets - I have played around a little with tunisian crochet and had fun with it.

The fashion show was emceed by The Crochet Dude himself, who I met and was very nice and funny. We didn't get to see any of his designs modeled, but he has a book coming out soon called Designs for Guys: 30 Projects Men Will Love. Awesome!

As for the fashion show itself, there were only a few crochet items and unfortunately they have been impossible for me to track down online. From my notes I can gather that one of these two designs is by Coats & Clark and I believe the other is from The Crochet Guild of America's Crochet! magazine, but neither design can be found on either website or on ravelry (and I've looked for hours!). I am guessing that this gorgeous blanket is from Crochet! magazine, but not the current issue...

Which would make this jacket by Coats & Clark, I think (let me know if I'm wrong)...

So that's it for The Knit & Crochet Show. If you were there and want to share your favorite things, post a comment! If you've been to a similar event and have anything to share about it, post a comment! And if something like this is happening near you, check it out!
