Worn Out: Street Style Picks
Hey guys! As ever, here are my top 5 favorite street style photos from the last two weeks of style blogging, and my apologies to the gentlemen - the ladies were shining the most brightly during both NY and London fashion weeks. Be sure to leave both nods of agreement and your hearty fist-shaking in the comments...let's get started!

These two photos - the left from a September 20 post at Glam Canyon, the right from a September 18 at Reykjavik Looks - are both odd little shots of, quite honestly, odd little outfits. What they share, though, is an unexpected and inventive take on legwear. I like the Glam Canyon look enormously (it's equal parts Madonna, goth, and Candy Land), and the while the look on the right is much looser, it's still a total mash-up. The mix of the athletic jacket with such cozy leggings and the feminine, vintage-looking heels is something I would never think to do in my wildest dreams, yet somehow I really admire the aesthetic.

The look at left (from a September 18 post at Garance Dore) is so young and fresh-looking that it almost makes me wish it were the beginning of Summer instead of the beginning of Fall. Almost. Her leather accessories and little socks bring me right back to the imminent cold-weather, and I'm seriously wishing that dress was mine to pair with tights and a nubby sweater. It's just that kind of Fall-thinking that has me loving the outfit at right so much. From a September 19 post at Face Hunter, it's an absolutely perfect mix of hard and soft, and it's the contrast of the soft lace of the dress with the sleek shine of her leather jacket and booties that's completely on-trend. I'm way into her clever Frida Kahlo-inspired take on things, and this look was certainly a contender for my favorite post...
