Faux Fur from Real Animals

In some startling investigations from the last couple of years, show that 80 percent of fake fur has actuality been real. Raccoon dogs from Asia, mostly China, Japan, and Korea, are hunted and raised on farms for the "Faux Fur" industry. U.S. law protecting dogs and cats from such cruelties have yet to catch up with the cruelties and misrepresentations involving racoon dogs- since they are not actual dogs.
Many animal right advocacies, such as Care2.com, are urging people to write to their representative to clos this legal loophole and protect these animals by signing an online petition. Currently the petition only has 1/10 of it's goal signitures. After all raccoon dogs in japan are a cultural icon- from folklore statues called Tanuki to anime characters.
