Cool Website Alert: The Anticraft!
This site has been around for quite awhile, but I figured this is the perfect time of year to bring it to the attention of anyone who hasn't heard of it already. The current issue that just came out, and will have new projects added throughout the month, is all based around Día de los Muertos! Projects are in all different mediums, ranging from sewing to knitting to beading to cooking... check out the sugar skull themed knitting bag, Sweet Satisfaction:

And these stuffed pasta skulls are pretty rad:

The Anticraft also has every project from the 12 past issues archived! Here are a few of my personal favorites... I am Doll Parts from #3:

Hat of Horns from #5:

And a recipe for fall, Pumpkin Pasties from #9:

From the Antifesto: "Creation from chaos is natural. We've come to a place where we've realized that we have this actual, physical need to create things....The point then is not that you should craft just like us. You should craft in the medium that understands you. This is just a place to let your eyes rest, find some inspiration, or scream yourself hoarse." So if you're feeling bored with projects and are looking for something different, this is a great place to go browsing. Make yourself some bloody, skull-adorned, spider webby, shocking projects this October!
