i think you make good eco crafts but i liked meg

I miss Meg this lady is weird...

I've been making these for years, and they hold up really well.  To make a bunch of them, it helps to become a bit obsessive-- collect corks at parties, ask your neighborhood bartender to collect them for you, etc.

I highly suggest laying out he corks first, to make them fit tightly and make sure you like the patterns they make.  It also helps you figure out which ones should go where, since some are longer/shorter, fatter/skinnier.

I'm actually in the process of making a cork board, and I happened to check this out! I tried a bunch of glues out before I started my project, I've found that Gorilla Glue works the best, hot glue doesn't really grip the cork well for too long.  Also I cut my corks to lay them flat, it makes it easier to pin things to.

You could also cut the corks in half lengthwise to use less corks...

i do like this but i dont know how well the corks would hold up over time seeing as how they are glued on one round side to a flat surface. personally i would cut them in half length wise to have a flat piece. or at least shave a bit off so that you still have that wicked cool heavy texture thing. 
all in all good though. the videos are deffinately getting better thats for sure. keep up the good work. oh and ignore the alcholoic referance thing down there...

i love the idea ... but im going to have to hit up freecycle for the corks because i don't drink wine. i like  Madisons idea of cutting them in half

lol thats a lot of vine corks from one party... that explaines all her creepy smiles

you have to much time on your hands plus im sure the glue will show and the corks will fall off eventually if you really use it like a cork board.

Question!  What did you use as the board to layer the corks on?   It turned out beautifully!

Loved this one!  I'll have to show this to my housemates.  I'm sure we'll have a TON of corks to use for this project.

I always save corks when my parents drink wine (i'm thirtteen) and I'll soo make this! I think i'll cut mine in half first, and glue the flat side down, seeing as i dont have as many as you. Thanks for the tute!

Awesoooome, this is a great idea I drink sooo much wine and just throw away the corks.

you could cut the cork lengthways and use a circular design.
this is also a good idea if you dont have many corks laying arround

try gluing corks to wreaths or using a needle to thread about 5 corks into a necklace.

OR you can buy a kitchen knife and really go to town with your cork board. (Wine corks are wood, so do not use your parents very expensive knife set!) I sell these on Etsy and there is no limit to what you can make your cork board look like.
